Feeding Children of Central Kansas Inc. is driven by a single goal; to do our part in making meals available to children. Our decision making process is informed by comprehensive empirical studies and high quality data evaluation. We strive to build productive relationships and make a positive impact with all of our pursuits.

Based in Wilson, Kansas, the food program currently serves eight counties, three school districts, and averages 40,000 meals served by volunteers in an 11-week time period.

Our Location

Feeding the Children of Central Kansas is currently operating from a historic sandstone building in downtown Wilson, Kansas.  This former bank building was generously donated to support the cause, and is now being renovated to fulfill the mission and the growing needs of the program.

In addition to serving the summer lunch program, the board's strategic desire is to repurpose this building into an educational, cultural, and enrichment community center, providing year-long services to the children and families of this community and beyond.

Our Board of Directors

Feeding the Children of Central Kansas was awarded the 2023 To the Stars Regional Award in the category Non-Profit/Healthcare.  Shown here is Stacie Schmidt, Debbie Whitmer, Terry Whitmer, Belinda Kasper, and Sheron Lowry
